On June 17, 2025, at approximately 2:30 PM, the Murshidabad Police received a written complaint from Mr. Faruk Ahammed concerning his 17-year-old brother and two of his friends who had gone missing the previous evening. The boys were reportedly last seen in their village, Singa, before they vanished around 8:00 PM on June 16.Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Murshidabad PS promptly registered the case and began mobilizing resources to locate the missing minors. In a swift move, local sources were engaged to gather information on the boys’ whereabouts. It was discovered that the trio intended to travel to another state via Sealdah Railway Station.Acting quickly, the Murshidabad Police contacted the Sealdah Government Railway Police (GRP) for assistance. Thanks to their collaborative efforts, the missing minors were traced within Sealdah GRP’s jurisdiction by 10:00 PM on the same day, marking a mere eight hours since the formal complaint was lodged.A police team was dispatched to Sealdah to recover the boys, who were found safe and unharmed. Following their recovery, the minors were joyfully reunited with their families, bringing a sense of relief and gratitude to the entire community.This incident serves as a poignant reminder of the effectiveness of timely intervention and the strong coordination between police departments in safeguarding vulnerable individuals. Local authorities encourage families to report any missing persons immediately, emphasizing that quick action is key in such critical situations.
