On June 14, 2025, at approximately 23:00 hours, the Jalangi Police Station (PS) executed a well-planned raid at the Bidupur Banana Garden, resulting in the apprehension of Asraf Mondal, a 22-year-old Bangladeshi national. Asraf, son of Mainuddin Mondal, hails from Charpara in the Daulatpur police district of Kushtia, Bangladesh.This operation was part of a broader initiative to tackle suspected illegal activities in the region. The police launched a Suo-Moto case registered under Case No. 307/2025 on June 15, 2025, to facilitate their ongoing investigation into the matter.Following the arrest, Asraf Mondal was presented before the Learned Court with a request for a 7-day police custody, allowing law enforcement to conduct further inquiries.
